That doesn't mean that there aren't different grades from brand new looking (grade A) to on their last life (grade c), but they are priced accordingly and disclosed as such up front.
Yes! Generally speaking, used gaylords and boxes are 50% cheaper or better than buying brand new gaylords and boxes.
Delivery time will be determined by the exact gaylord or box you purchase. The lead times and transit times will be shared up front so you can make an informed decision. As a general rule, the further away the gaylords or boxes are from you, the longer it will take to deliver. Additionally, if you're interested in gaylords or boxes which are still accumulating, then that could also take some time.

Yes! The more you pre-order, the more we can plan ahead, the more efficient we can be in our supply chain, and we pass those savings on to you. As far as how much the savings is, it depends on many factors, so talk to your Account Manager to get specifics.
There are many different kinds of gaylords and boxes in the marketplace being unpacked needing new homes. The vast majority of them come from 1 of 3 industries: food, plastics, parcel delivery. Amongst these industries, there are lot of shapes and styles and we've seen them all! Inquire with what your particular search is for and we can show you what is out there,
Sometimes. In our wholesale marketplace where we sell by the truckload, the gaylords and boxes we rescue could infrequently be never used obsoletes or overruns which got liquidated. These situations are often scarce though and can't be counted upon. In smaller retail quantities, we do sell brand new moving boxes though for those in need, shipped right to your door.
In certain cases. From our warehouses where gaylords and boxes are stored, yes. However, directly from our suppliers, no. Our suppliers run a tight schedule and request that we handle the dock appointments. This helps streamline operations and avoid disruptions. Additionally, they typically don't allow outside vendors to pick up shipments for security and logistical reasons.

Generally, no. Our wholesale division sells almost exclusively in full truckload quantities. While we do make some exceptions, they are uncommon. If you need only a few gaylords, you may need to purchase them retail, or if you need just a few shipping boxes, consider buying an Earth-Friendly Moving Kit from our Shop.
Yes, but you'll need to cover the shipping costs of samples. When it comes to shipping boxes, this is relatively inexpensive. When it comes to shipping samples of gaylords, it's pretty expensive.
Generally, yes! We can setup pre-orders for future accumulations of what you like. However, we are limited by how often the box is unpacked and accumulated. So if you need more than what is produced, similar options will need to be identified (which we can help with).

In most cases, no. As these are a used commodity, you are buying them as they are and returns can only take place in the first week if there is a problem with your order. To be transparent, the logistics required to pick them up, bring them back to our warehouse and reinspect to make them available again is too costly to make sense. However, in rare cases, we may be able to help you rehome them.
It depends on many factors from what they are, to where, to their quality. Inquire and we can talk it through.
Odds are, yes! We service everywhere in the United States and have processing facilities nationally. Or if you can get the boxes ready for sales directly at your location, we can pay even more and ship directly to customers.
Absolutely! We can consildate all of your recycling efforts into our trailers, if needed. Although, it's not as cost effective to do this.
We generally pay on monthly statements for recurring streams of boxes, on the 15th of every month for all gaylords and boxes received the month prior. However, in some cases we can pay on expedient terms when the situation calls for it.
The only fees we would ever assess would be fully disclosed up front. For example, if you get drop trailers, those might have a monthly rental charge. If you are having the gaylords or boxes hauled to a UCB facility for processing, the cost of the haul will either be itemized or worked into the rebate price.
Yes, we only work with 53' dry van trailer pickups, because the economics of picking up low volumes of boxes doesn't work (the trucks cost more than the boxes are worth). As such, we have to leverage economies of scale to make box reuse make sense, and thus the minimum of filling a full trailer.
We keep records of every pickup and historical data on what was on each, and their value...all in our online portal. All suppliers that engage with us will have access to all their data online.

This is honestly the best and most cost effective way to do it! UCB cannot add any value if you can handle it all on your own. But if you can't, that's where UCB can provide this as a turn-key solution.
We have meticulously designed an inspection process in our facilities to segragate all gaylords or boxes into 3 grades (A+B+C). Grade A stays in the closed loop system, Grade B leaves the closed loop system but can still be sold into the secondary marketplace, Grade C gets recycled.
In short...unpack with care, sort and stack by size and stack to 52" tall, store with care, optimize trailer space, reduce rehandling needs, save on logistics costs, and avoid using drop trailers (if possible).

If you order before 2:00 pm (time zone of the delivery address) on
any business day, your boxes will be shipped the very same day and be

gas) to drive to a retail store and stuff brand new boxes into your
car, when our quality used boxes are delivered to your door, for less?
Yes. We have a rule at UsedCardboardBoxes.com: If we wouldn't use the
box to move our own households, we don't put it in inventory! The boxes
you receive may have been gently used once, or they may be brand new
overruns, misprints or customer returns. They may also have a label or
two on them... and could even have some handwriting on them. But for the
purpose of packing them with household items for a move, or to ship an
item across the country, they are great... and we guarantee it! The
suppliers of our used boxes are manufacturers, distributors and
retailers that use high-quality boxes only one time. Whichever boxes you
order from us, you can rest assured that you are getting quality boxes

ship all of our USED moving boxes via UPS and FedEx and guarantee
delivery in 2-3 business days, for all orders placed before 2:00 pm on
any business day. If you order after 2:00PM on any day, your boxes will
be shipped the next business day. For example, if you order on Friday
after 2:00PM, your boxes will ship the next business day (Monday) and
are guaranteed to arrive in 2-3 business days, which is either Wednesday
or Thursday. Any NEW items you order (like wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap,
or any other item marked as new) will be shipped from a different
warehouse than other quality USED products you may have purchased on

Once your order arrives at the FedEx/UPS depot and is registered in their system, you can track it directly from our website. No. In order to provide the quickest shipment of orders at the lowest possible price, we have prepackaged all our boxes into either the moving kits or stacks. We have made every effort to ensure that our kits have the boxes and materials you will need to successfully pack your home or office. We've been doing this since 2002 and create our kits 100% based on our customers needs. We evaluate the new box competition, create stacks and kits that are very similar to theirs, then add more boxes and lower the price!!! Our stacks of boxes enable you to purchase additional boxes to add to a kit. Unfortunately, we can't break up a moving kit or stack and still be able to provide the lowest possible prices and still ship on the same day, for free. However, the price you pay for these additional items (markers, box cutters, tape, etc) is relatively inexpensive and you can almost consider them a "freebie" when compared to the prices charged by our new-box competitors.
No. In order to provide quality used boxes at the lowest possible price, we purchase boxes by the the truckload, and prepackage them into our convenient and earth-friendly moving kits and stacks. We currently do not offer specific sized boxes for non-commercial orders (quantities less than 1000). For residential orders, or quantities less than 1000, the boxes available are general moving box size and shape, and are described by approximate cubic feet. The reason for this is we we have regional distribution centers across the country, and with used boxes, the inventory can vary between distribution centers. Unfortunately, we do not sell individual boxes, nor can we guarantee a specific sized box, other than the ones listed on our website under specialty boxes. If our general size boxes are not applicable to your needs, please contact your local pack and ship for specific sizes in small quantities.
We'd love to give you the best price possible and we have an entire
commercial shipping box division dedicated to providing the lowest
prices possible, on bulk orders. However, keep in mind that the minimum
quantity we quote for commercial orders is 1,000 of the SAME EXACT BOX
(if gaylords our minimum is 100). So, if you are looking to purchase

Not necessarily. We buy quality used boxes by the truckload, and never accept individual (or small quantities) of boxes into our inventory. This way, we can provide our customers with the most consistent offering of quality used boxes. However, there is a very small chance that your order may contain a "moving kit" that was built from a specific combination of truckloads and also a "stack of boxes" that was built from a different truckload. Therefore, you may experience a difference between the two. However, all of our kits and stacks are pre-packaged in our shipping boxes called "modules" and you can rest assured that all of the boxes within a module are consistent. Better yet, we 100% guarantee your satisfaction. If we didn't think you will be happy with your order from UCB, we wouldn't send it!
Yes. Our Brand New File Boxes are perfect for books and other small items. In addition, we have assembled our "Moving Kits" and "Moving Boxes" to accommodate most of the items our customers will need to pack when moving. Our medium size boxes work very well to pack books because they provide enough space to pack all different sizes of books, thus reducing the number of boxes you will need. However, they are not too large, so they will not be too heavy to lift, even when full. The amount of books they will hold will depend on the size of your books.
It doesn't hurt to get started early. When you start early it allows you to pack at your own pace, make sure everything is packed well and you are not rushed at the last minute. You can start packing now by ordering what you think you need. Since we ship FOR FREE and you are guaranteed to receive your moving kit boxes within 2-3 days if you order, you can always order more, if and when you need more.

Ugh... we are so sorry! We explain all of this in the terms and conditions you agree to, prior to placing your order. We have built a completely automated system that enables us to not only ship same day, but provide the lowest prices on boxes anywhere in the country. There is very little human interaction involved, once the order is placed. Because we rely so much on technology, orders that are placed on the phone or web are immediately charged to the customer's credit card, pulled from inventory and entered into the UPS or FedEx system for same day shipping. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to intercept an order after it is placed, even before it is shipped. Once you have placed an order and received a confirmation number, your credit card will have been charged and your boxes will already be on their way to you. If you would like to return them, you will be responsible for shipping the unopened, complete order back to UsedCardboardBoxes.com for a refund of the purchase price, subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Sure! You can return any unopened, "shipping modules" to us (these are the outer boxes used to ship your kits to you) as long as you contact us within 3 business days of receiving your order. You are responsible for shipping the modules back to us and your return will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please Note: We are not able to accept returns of any opened shipping modules. We're glad you share our passion of not filling up landfills with cardboard boxes! However, in order to provide the lowest-cost, quality used boxes to residences and businesses across the entire US, we have to obtain our boxes in bulk and cannot pick them up from you. With this, we suggest that it's best to give it to your family or friends in need of boxes, or you might want to try selling the boxes on a local marketplace site, such as Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, or to simply recycle them at a local recycling center that accepts corrugated cardboard or you can turn the boxes into a beautiful art piece and post it in social media and hoping that you'll tag UCB.
When placing an order online or over the phone, confirmation is of the utmost importance. For this reason we provide double confirmation. Upon completion of a successful order process, we will display a six digit confirmation number on your web browser. We will also immediately send you an email containing your receipt and confirmation number. If you did not receive an order confirmation number on your computer's browser and/or you did not immediately receive an email from UCB with a copy of your receipt (including your confirmation number) please call us asap at 1-888-BOXES-88 (1-888-269-3788). We will need to research your order and if necessary, we will re-enter it into the system.
UPS exception notices are usually sent because a signature was
required but no one was available to sign for the boxes, or because of
an incorrect address or apartment number. If you have requested that UPS
require a signature in order to deliver your boxes, please make sure
someone is available on the delivery date. If an order cannot be
delivered due to an unavailable signature, UPS will reschedule the
delivery for the next business day. If an address or apartment number is
incorrect, UPS will try and call you to get the information corrected.
UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box. If you have received an exception notice
for these or any other reason, please call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS to
